Description

The progression of this guitar from the first model is immediately obvious in the amount and projection of sound.

She has a more vibrant character with a lovely open voice and lively feel giving the player more variety to play with as well as control.

I am now beginning to realize that evenness across the strings and range of notes is a characteristic in the Sanchez guitars. This is great as it gives developing players every chance to hear and shape their music successfully.

The trebles here have a nice polished tone across the range fully supported by a mellow bass voice.

In the first prelude by Villa Lobos the bass voice was smooth and full-bodied, and highlighted the good depth of sound in the guitar as a whole.

Overall the brighter character of this guitar brings out lots of colour and texture in your music while the warmth and depth help to support your tone, and provide confidence and volume!

Adrian's thoughts.

All of the guitars in the Sanchez range are understated having simple yet attractive single line purfling and pastel rather than garish colours for the rosette. The 1020 having a rosette made from coloured woods, black on brown is rather cool, delivering a dark confident look set off nicely by the lighter coloured purfling edging the soundboard. Once again the quality feel is highlighted by the machine heads and the overall quality can be heard as well as felt.
