Description

The quality of this guitar is in its smooth, fluid and even voice that gives a beautifully consistent tone quality across the strings and the range of the fingerboard.

In fact I will admit to being pleasantly surprised with her balance and uninhibited, focussed voice that consists of clarity with background warmth that is supportive but not at all intrusive.

I had no problem in bringing out the detailed voicing in some Dowland pieces, even in the middle voices and I enjoyed listening to the relaxed and easy tone start to open out as I played. By this I mean with no extra effort needed in the right hand, which makes for a more relaxed technique and so helps towards technical and musical progress.

I would describe her overall character as mellow and honeyed, with firm and velvety basses and trebles that are rounded and polished.

Balance is the real key I think, with a response that allows quick and clear coordination, easy slurs and reliability.

In playing the Opus 60 Carcassi studies I particularly enjoyed bringing out melodies in all registers and being able to clearly follow the details of the music.

She is not a flamboyant instrument but certainly a guitar on which to develop your musicianship knowing that she will always support you
