Description

This guitar has the rounded and smooth voice typical of the Alhambra range, warm resonance with excellent clarity across the strings and fingerboard.

These are such important features in a student guitar of this level as they represent reliability and trust in your guitar, giving the player security in production of a ‘good’ tone and so confidence to explore and expand their range of sounds.

Her response is clear with a good balance across the treble strings and a lovely polished tone to the top ‘E’ delivering clarity to the highest register.

The bass strings effortlessly produce a strong and rich sound filling out and supporting the harmony, as well as making it fun to bring out singing bass melodies!

I really enjoyed playing through 19th century repertoire for this review, bringing out the spirit, colour and drama in the music.

The even response means that voices in the music are clear, which helps articulation and control.

This will always be a help to the student in developing tone, dynamics and musicianship.

Adrian's thoughts.

Model 6P is one of my favourite guitars, not too expensive, keeps the parents happy yet delivers a convincing emotional response. One of my students attended her music college audition playing a 6P, upgraded to a more expensive instrument at the start of her course but it was the 6P that helped her get there.
