The inner moulding of a Hiscox case is a semi ridged impact absorbing,
cellular polyurethane foam which chemically bonds itself to the outer skin.
Not polystyrene glued to the outer skin with a few blobs of glue.

The Aluminium section is 42mm deep most of which is hidden behind the
outer skin. Every fitting is either riveted to this aluminium rim or to an aluminium back plate.
